The Legendary Daytona Superspeedway comes to NR2003 in all its glory. Updated through the 2005 construction, this newest edition of Daytona sports all the distinctive characteristics that have come to make the Daytona International Superspeedway, and the Daytona 500 in particluar, two of the most legendary names in all of sport.

Enhancements:

1) Muli- groove racing: Balanced inside and outside grooves allow for realistic Daytona style racing. Set your car up to run the bottom, or the top, and race your way to the front.

2) Enhanced AI: The AI searches the track high and low, looking for the fastest groove and best line in their quest to keep you from victory lane. Cars work together, and pass on the inside and the outside lines. AI cars also get more and more racey as the end of the race nears. Be careful of the big one.

3) Revamps Pit Road protocols: New pit entrance and exit settings make for the most realistic pit roads to date in a Nascar sim.

4) Realistic Speeds and Lead Changes: Gone are the days of running 205 around Daytona and seeing 100 lead changes a race. Daytona Revamped sports speeds just slightly over what the cars ran in the 2007 Daytona 500, and sports the same amount of lead changes, even in a simulated AI race.

5) Distinctive Racing Styles: Cup, Busch and Truck series all have their own style of racing, each reflecting the current aero packages on their cars. Cup has more single file racing, Busch runs alot of three wide, and the trucks are just plain wild. (Ironically, just as it is in real life, Beta testing of Daytona revelaed that the CTS races were in fact the race\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s of choice as far as fun and challenge.)

6) Brand New Lighting and Shading: Daytona Revamped host a NR2003 first: Daytona International Superspeedway with late afternoon shading and lighting effects. The tracks sky, lighting, and shading techniques have been completely re-done to simulate late afternoon racing, as you fight the shadows and the sun coming through the tri-oval to take the checkered flag. You have to see it to believe it.

The track has a seperate folder called FPS savings. Using 3do\\\\\\\'s from this folder should save you a few FPS.
